There are two options for the city select and city select LUX strollers. Both options have different benefits and considerations to suit your family.
(Note the city select and city select LUX were discontinued in 2021 and accessories for these strollers is not longer in production)
Option 1. Bassinet Kit
This is a fabric that will be assembled using your seat frame and canopy. This video shows how this works as it's sometimes easier to show than explain - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RWelHeLtkU&t=1s
The bassinet kit is the best option if planning to convert to a double as it's a more compact bassinet, allowing more space for configurations with the seat. However you would need to still purchase a second seat kit to add a second seat.
The Bassinet Kit is also the only way to convert a city select or city select LUX into a double for newborn twins (you would need to purchase 2 x bassinet kits and 1 x second seat kit to create a full twin pram)
See below what the bassinet kit looks like in double mode (can also be used on it's own a single pram)
NOTE: the city select and city select LUX bassinet are specific to their models and so you must purchase the correct bassinet kit to be able to assemble with your seat frame.

Option 2 - select 2 Deluxe Bassinet - Discontinued
The city select 2 Deluxe Bassinet is a complete, full sized bassinet with no additional parts required to assemble. The bassinet also elevates your infant up so they're closer to you when you're pushing the pram and easier to lift baby in and out of the seat.
HOWEVER, due to the size of the bassinet when used in double mode below is the only possible configuration. So it is possible, but not ideal. (Also is NOT suitable for twins, as you cannot use two deluxe bassinets at once, but you can use two bassinet kits)
