Here are the most important things to note while initiating Breathing Motion monitoring and selecting the Breathing Wear pattern:
- In the initiation process, put the selector on the baby’s chest, in the area where you can see most of the pattern. The more pattern visible through the selector, the better.
- Check your camera to make sure the pattern is completely visible and not covered or obstructed by any other object like a blanket or the cot bars and that the patterned area of the Breathing Wear is flat, not bunched up.
- Use plain colour sheets in your baby’s cot. (Avoid patterned sheets and bedding), don't leave extra Breathing Wear items near or in the cot and avoid using a mobile on your cot.
- Lay your baby down in the middle of the cot and not at the edges and ensure camera is positioned correctly.

- Make sure Breathing Wear is snug around your baby, it shouldn’t be too tight or too loose. You should be able to fit 2 fingers below easily. Only dress baby in one item of Breathing Wear at a time and dress baby in light clothing underneath Breathing Wear.
- Close the monitoring session when you take your baby out of the cot
Note: If Breathing Wear is not detected while monitoring session is active you will receive a notification.
Red Alert is triggered when Breathing Wear IS detected but movement is not detected.
