There are a couple of tips to keep the leatherette on your Joolz stroller handlebar and bumper bar looking fresh and new for longer.
This advice is exactly the same as any other leatherette items you might have in your home - jackets, couches, handbags - all benefit from the same care and maintenance.
Things that can damage or deteriorate leatherette faster over time:
- Exposure to extreme heat - for example in a car on a hot day.
- Exposure to direct sunlight - storing stroller outdoors or directly into front of a window
- Harsh cleaning chemicals - including disinfectant sprays and hand sanitiser.
- Prolonged exposure to moisture - dry off your stroller hardware after washing/rain.
You can also help maintain the look of your leatherette longer by applying leatherette conditioner to the material, especially if you notice it's starting to look dry.
Once the leatherette has started to crack and peel unfortunately it may be difficult to maintain after this stage. If you have a Joolz Day2, Day3 or Day+ you can purchase a replacement handlebar to make your stroller look fresh and new again!
