Our go-to recommendation for parents looking for the best pram/stroller for a tall child or parents who are looking to extend the time their child is in a pram/stroller before needing to transition to a mobility device like a wheelchair, is the Baby Jogger city elite 2.
We know a lot of customers look at the Baby Jogger summit X3 as it also has a 34kgs weight limit, but while it does have a taller seat back when compared to the city elite 2, the space under the sun canopy of the city elite 2 is much higher and so will accommodate a much taller child. (See detailed seat dimensions below)
The city mini GT2 is another good option for taller toddlers, as it has almost identical seat dimensions to the city elite 2, and the weight capacity of 29.5kgs will be more than enough for most children's time in a pram.
However, the key benefit of the city elite 2 for a taller toddler/children is the solid footrest, as this allows a child with longer legs to place their feet firmly. Which not only is more comfortable as they get taller, but in cases of using the city elite 2 for school-aged children, this will also keep their feet well away from the front wheel.
