City Select replacing handlebar (Video)

Replacing the city select handlebar is a reasonably easy repair that can be completed at home.

Step 1. 

Undo the screws holding the top seat mounting brackets in place and remove the brackets.

Step 2. 

Undo the screw holding the brake handle onto the frame. Slide the brake handle up to remove it from the frame. Be sure not to loose the nut on the other side of the screw.

Step 3. 

Pull the handle and it should come away from the rest of the frame. You may need someone to hold the lower half of the frame to free the handle.

Step 4. 

When re-assembling the handle ensure the nuts are located in the plastic housing that the handle attaches to. Follow the steps in reverse order to reassemble.
