Missing Temperature and Humidity
In some situations, the Nanit app may not display the temperature of your baby’s nursery. This is usually due to the camera not being firmly connected to the stand, a problem with the app or firmware version, or an issue with the temperature sensor in the stand.
To help identify and resolve the problem, you can try the following steps:
- Unplug the camera from the stand.
- Wait 5 minutes, then plug the camera back in, making sure it's firmly connected to the stand.
- If the temperature is still missing and you have another stand, try connecting Nanit to the other stand.
If the steps above don’t help you restore the temperature in the app, there may be a problem with the temperature sensor in the stand. If so, we'd be happy to help! Click here to contact our support team.
Inaccurate Temperature
Similar to most electronic devices, Nanit will generate heat while plugged into power, primarily during startup.
If you’re plugging in Nanit for the first time, switching between the floor stand or multi-stand, or powering Nanit off and on, it is normal for the camera to warm up for about 30 minutes, until the thermals have stabilized. During this warm-up period, temperature readings in the Nanit app may be inaccurate.
If you’re experiencing inaccurate temperature readings 30 minutes after powering on Nanit, make sure your camera is operating on the latest firmware version.
To check for a firmware update:
1. Open the Nanit app and tap side menu
2. If you have more than one Nanit camera - Tap the affected camera
3. Choose your baby’s settings
4. Tap ‘Advanced'
5. If there's a firmware update available, you'll see an indication of the 'Firmware version' field. Tap the ‘Update’ button to initiate the update.
